AI001- AI Intro For Kids

Description

Today’s kids will be the first “artificial intelligence natives,” a generation that’s grown up interacting with machines that can hear, see, talk and predict our behavior. Parents and educators are grappling with how to teach children to be responsible consumers of the technology.

In computer science, artificial intelligence (AI), sometimes called machine intelligence, is the ability of machines to use data to predict outcomes and mimic "cognitive" functions that humans associate with the human mind, such as "learning" and "problem solving". This is in contrast to the natural intelligence displayed by humans and animals.

In this program children will:

  • Define Artificial Intelligence
  • Program virtual robots that can 'see', 'talk' and 'follow'
  • Train machines to learn
  • Create simple algorithms to control virtual devices

Program Duration: 8 hours

PRICE: $100.00 per child per session

Session Details

Time: 10:00am

Days: Mon - Thurs (no class on Fridays)

Sessions:

  • July 6 - 17, 2020
  • August 3 - 14, 2020

AI002 - Voice Assistants for Kids

Description

Natural language processing (NLP) is a sub field of artificial intelligence and linguistics. It studies the problems inherent in the processing and manipulation of natural language, and, natural language understanding devoted to making computers "understand" statements written in human languages.

This program is devoted to Voice Assistants uses and creation. There will be a session on Virtual Avatars that can be programmed with NLP.

In this program children will:

  • Define Natural Language Processing and its uses in Artificial Intelligence
  • Differentiate the different types of NLP
  • Program different types of NLP Apps on Alexa Devices
  • Develop a Virtual Avatar

Program Duration: 8 hours

PRICE: $100.00 per child per session

ME005 - 3D Modeling and Coding

Description

Design and code in 3D over the summer! Learn the how to create 3D models using AutoCAD Tinkercad. Whether it is jewelry, toys or trinkets, this is a fun makers program for kids.

The models created can be used in Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and 3D Printed and machined using CNC cutters.

NOTE: We will not be able to manufacture this summer. However, we will have live demonstrations how a 3D printing and CNC machines works.

In this program children will:

  • Describe the cartesian system for 3D object
  • Differentiate between 3D model types and its uses
  • Describe the 3D modeling concepts
  • Develop a 3D model using code
  • Design and develop products based on engineering specifications
